Booking & Cancellation Policy

When you ask us to reserve a unit, it is, “pulled off the shelf”. Reservation requests from other parties are refused. A deposit equal to the first night stay + tax is required at time of booking via major credit card (Visa, Mastercard or American Express). Deposit will be refunded minus a $50.00 plus tax fee per unit reserved when cancellations are made more than 7 days prior to the check in date. (30 days in the case of the Fisherman’s House vacation rental). No refund will be made when cancellation, date change or unscheduled early departure is made 7 days or less prior to the check in date or the guest does not arrive on the specified arrival date, unless we can rent the unit for all the booked nights. Early departures may be required to pay the entire cost of the stay, if the unit cannot be re-booked, if cancelled while in house. Should your trip be interrupted due to illness or family emergency, this cost can be covered by trip cancellation insurance if you purchase it. (30 days in the case of the Fisherman’s House vacation rental).

The unit will be restored to non-smoking status at your expense. Your minimum bill will be close to $650 and can top $2000 if carpeting, beds or furniture are burned! Properties that permit smoking inside are available in town – please ask us!

Bear-Aware Practices

We expect our guests to participate in “bear-aware” practices during their stay with us in Ucluelet. Several bears are put down each year in town due to bears becoming habituated with humans. To avoid this, please note that your coolers, BBQ’s, garbage or any other items that may attract our bears must be stored inside your vehicle or the suite. Fishing gear and fish catch may not be brought into your suite or left outside. If your visit to Ucluelet involves sport fishing, please ensure that you have made arrangements for storage of your catch. Options are with your fishing charter captain, in your enclosed vehicle or bringing them to either of the 2 companies here in town that can vacuum pack and freeze fish.
