Vancouver 2010 Olympics are nearly here. Make a side trip to Pacific Rim National Park and Ucluelet!

Register for the Edge to Edge Marathon now (it is a Boston Marathon qualifier) June 13 2010 Full marathon, 1/2 marathon and relay. Marathon runners enjoy the route between Ucluelet and Tofino, including Long Beach and the Wild Pacific Trail in Ucluelet. Edge to Edge Marathon stay in either Ucluelet or Tofino – shuttle buses will get you to your start line or from the finish line to your hotel. Stay at the West Coast Motel and enjoy after check out showers/pool/and sauna – no charge.
Relax in our indoor pool, work out in our 3000 square foot harbour view gym and sweat it out in our dry cedar sauna.
Did you know Ucluelet is home to 3 surf shops and schools? The motel is close to surfing beaches. Wickinninish Beach is only 15 minute drive and Long Beach is about 25 minutes. Rent your gear/hire an instructor at – check out the surf shop links on our “Local Activities and Adventures” tab. Free after check out showers available for those that want one last surf before heading home. We also have a dry room available for surf boards and gear. Surfers enjoy our sauna facilities the most!
Take a walk on the “Wild Side” – “The Wild Pacific Trail” that is! Enjoy the spectacular sights from shore. Black volcanic rock, jutting from the sea. Spouting whales. The Lighthouse….
